BUREAU DOOVE is organised by Edith Doove, a curator, writer and researcher, specifically interested in notions of emergence and contingency, cross and trans-disciplinary collaborations, artist as curator and curator as artist. She started curating in 1987 in Antwerp and worked as a freelance curator and art critic in Belgium until 2010 before coming to Plymouth, UK. She has made various exhibitions in non-commercial exhibitions spaces, public space, museums and commercial galleries, amongst others as director-curator of MDD, Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens (1999-2004) and curator of the first Triennial for Visual Art, Fashion & Design Super! in Hasselt (2005), deDonderdagen at deSingel, Antwerp (2006-2007), Parallellepipeda at Museum M, Leuven (2010), wijheizijwei, various locations (2010) and Platform P at the Duke, Plymouth (2011). For more information on her exhibitions and writing visit her blog.

Since February 2010 Doove is a contributing researcher and part-time PhD-candidate with Transtechnology Research at Plymouth University looking amongst others into the quality of trans-disciplinary collaborations.
